Brown Eyes' Birthday

Jackson decided last week that Brown Eyes had a birthday coming up. So, we celebrated the party on Sunday with several friends. Jackson took the party very seriously... He drew several pictures as decorations, hung streamers, and planned games. The kids enjoyed playing, eating pizza and cupcakes, and playing Pin the Tail on the Possum. Tot Trot

The kids are getting ready for the Tot Trot at Atlantic Station. Catie went first and ran 1 lap (.2 miles). Actually, I should say Steve ran .2 miles, because he had to carry her the whole way. Then, Jackson ran 2 laps (.4 miles).

Karate

Jackson had a free weeknight, so we decided to sign him up for karate! Steve's dreams of Jackson dominating a "team" sport are dying... However, Jackson is enjoying the swim team and karate lessons.

Happy Easter!

The kids enjoyed many Easter Egg hunts! The first was at Briarlake Church, with the Wilsons and Voelzkes. Above, Jackson is positioned at the front of the line, waiting for the gun to sound...

There he goes! He headed straight to the back of the field where there was less competition for the eggs.

We also had a neighborhood Easter Egg hunt. Steve and Rich hid the eggs in our backyards. Above... the kids are off! The kids all had a blast hunting for eggs. After the first egg hunt, Jackson and Michael hid eggs in the front for the younger kids.

Steve turns 40!!

We celebrated Steve turning the big 4-0 with a surprise party. The party was a big success... Steve was actually surprised (small miracle). We returned from dinner to find family and friends in our basement behind "faces of Steve" masks (thanks Aunt Lynn). Thanks to all who helped organize the party and throw Steve off guard. Also, thanks to those who traveled here to celebrate Steve's birthday.
